Soc Day 37 - Socializing Children

Objective:  Define types of groups.  Explore the role of various institutions in socialization.

Task:   Today, to start class, we'll continue our exploration of the power of groups with notes and discussion defining the various types of groups.  Then, you'll read "The Socialization Process and Its Impact on Children and Learning" as an introduction to the process of socialization.  Finally, you'll spend the last portion of class completing a virtual exploration of social interaction and socialization (skip questions 19 & 20).  Email your results to jessica.friday@svpanthers.org.
