CPWC Day 63 - Partition & the Green Revolution

Objective:  Investigate select developments in the history of South Asia.  Analyze the lasting impact of Partition.  Evaluate the costs and benefits of the Green Revolution.

Task: As you come into class, please turn in "India's Sacred Cow" on the computer cart, get out your computer, and log on to the Moodle.   Scroll down to unit 6 and complete the "South Asia Religions Review" to check your understanding of the religions of South Asia.  After you've completed the religions review, please pick up and begin working on "India's Green Revolution."  Once everyone has finished the religions review, we'll spend some time reviewing your timeline notes.  Specifically, we'll examine the contribution of the Mughal Dynasty, the rule by the British East India Company, non-violent civil disobedience, and the consequences of Partition.  Specifically, for our examination of Partition, you'll review select primary documents to assess the outcomes of a divided subcontinent.
