CPWC Day 80 - Using Primary Sources to Explore Geography

Objective:  Locate and identify key locations on a map of Latin America.  Evaluate the impact of geography on the history and development of Latin America.

Task:  Good morning!  As you come into class, please pick up the packet and worksheet on the front cart.  Please read the maps and documents and write a one-sentence summary next to each item.  Then, use this information to complete the graphic organizer on Latin America.  We'll spend a few minutes reviewing your work before clearing desks for a review game.  You'll move around the room to read the clues and complete your list.  Finally, we'll spend the last portion of class exploring the Panama Canal and urbanization in Latin America.
