Task: Today's class will be divided into three distinct sections: notes, stations, and collaboration. To start, as we begin our first collaborative project we'll take advantage of this opportunity to discuss the differences between collaboration, cooperation, and copying. While we have our notes out, we'll also take a look at human origins with the help of renowned anthropologist, Don Johanson, and begin our examination of periodization in world history.
Next, we'll get into groups to work on two (of four) stations on globalization. The links and videos for stations #2 and #4 can be found on the Moodle, in the "HWC '12-'13" Diigo group, and at the bottom of this post. Finally, you'll have the last 15 minutes of class to meet with your collaborative team on the Primer presentations.
