HWC10.11 Day 6 - Organization & Culture

Objectives: Create and organize a notebook to be utilized in HWC. Define history and the social sciences as they will be used in HWC.  Consider the characteristics of culture.

Task:  To begin class, we'll establish the organizational foundation for class by creating our notebooks with a table of contents and dividers.  Then, we'll spend some time viewing the Primer presentations.
Finally, we'll begin our examination of characteristics and elements of culture.

Homework:

• TODAY - Completed SlideRocket presentations due by 3:30 (bonus points for presentations completed by BEGINNING of class)
• Thursday, January 31 - G&D Chapter 1 reading due in class
• Friday, February 1 - Primer vocabulary quiz
• Friday, February 1 - Foundations Investigation due
• Monday, February 4 - G&D Chapter 1 reading quiz
• Tuesday, February 5 - Historical Study: Imperialism & What is Imperialism? due at beginning of class
• Wednesday, February 6 - Unit 1 Test
