HWC1.2 Day 4 - Organization, Globalization, & Culture

Objectives:  Create and organize a notebook to be utilized in HWC.  Examine the trends and characteristics of global society since 1850.  Consider the characteristics of culture.

Task:  As we begin our second week of class, we're going to create our notebooks.  You''ll utilize a table of contents and dividers to create an organizational foundation for HWC.  Next, we'll spend some time reviewing your reading notes from chapter 1 of Globalization & Diversity in preparation for tomorrow's reading quiz.  Specifically, we'll identify key vocabulary, main ideas, and seek to identify the biases of this text.  Finally, we'll begin our examination of culture with notes on the characteristics and elements of culture.
