HWC10.11 Day 5 - Collaboration

Objectives:  Define history and the social sciences as they will be utilized in HWC.  Collaborate in a Web2.0 environment to create an informative presentation.

Task:  As we begin the second week of class, you'll continue working on your Primer presentation.  As you work, please keep the following points in mind:

1. Although you will all have access to the SlideRocket presentation, only one person can edit at a time.
2. The purpose of the presentation is to help your classmates understand the main ideas of your assigned section.
3. The presentation must be at least 3 minutes and no more than 4 minutes in length.
4. Be sure that you double check the rubric for grading criteria.

At the end of class, I'll collect the Primer so that the texts can be used by the morning class.

Homework:

• TODAY - Primer collection (in class)
• Wednesday, January 30 - Completed SlideRocket presentations due by 3:30 (bonus points for presentations completed by BEGINNING of class)
• Wednesday, January 30 - 3-ring binder and 10 dividers
• Thursday, January 31 - G&D Chapter 1 reading due in class
• Friday, February 1 - Primer vocabulary quiz
• Friday, February 1 - Foundations Investigation due
• Monday, February 4 - G&D Chapter 1 reading quiz
• Tuesday, February 5 - Historical Study: Imperialism & What is Imperialism? due at beginning of class
