Objectives: Critically review a peer's essay for grammar, content, and strength of argument. Examine slavery and revolution in Latin America.
Task: We'll begin class with a map review game in preparation for tomorrow's map quiz. Then, you'll get out the computers to peer review drafts in GoogleDocs. Finally, you'll spend the remainder of class working on an internet activity to investigate slavery, maroons, and the Haitian Revolution.
Homework:
- TODAY - Comments to peer draft due by 4:00
- Thursday, January 10 - Cumulative map quiz (see study list)
- Friday, January 11 - Extra credit (20 points) for research essays turned in by 3:00
- Monday, January 14 - Final Research Essay Due
- Monday, January 14 - Last day to make up missing quarter 2 work
- Wednesday, January 16 - HWC Final Exam at 7:35 am
