Objective: Identify central tenets of the religions and philosophies that have influenced East Asia. Investigate the geo-political and cultural significance of select events in Chinese history.
Task: When you arrive to class, please pull up the Mao reading. We'll use this article to review communism in China. Then, we'll spend the remainder of class considering the events at Tiananmen Square in 1989 and changes in contemporary China with "Tank Man" and a live moderated blog.
