CPWC Day 49 - Considering Japan

Objective:  Examine the ideas and influence of indigenous and diffused religious and philosophical traditions in East Asia.  Investigate the cultural significance of select events in Japan's history.

Task:  When you arrive to class, please pick up an index card for tomorrow's reading quiz.  Get out your "Comparing Religions in China" notes.  To begin class, we'll finish up our notes on the religions of East Asia.  Then, we'll begin our examination of Japan with notes and discussion.  Finally, at the end of class you'll complete a short assessment to check your understanding of East Asia.

Homework:
  • TODAY  - Chapter 29, section 2 reading notes due in class
  • Wednesday, November 12 - China history paragraph due
  • Thursday, November 12 - Unit 5 reading quiz (27.1, 27.3, 28.2, 29.1, & 29.2 - two-sided, hand-written index card may be used)
  • Tuesday, November 17 - Unit 5 Test
