CPWC Day 50 - Japan in Global Context

Objective:  Examine the ideas and influence of indigenous and diffused religious and philosophical traditions in East Asia.  Investigate the cultural significance of select events in Japan's history.

Task:  When you arrive to class, please download "CPWC Japan Condensed History" from Schoology.  We'll begin class with notes on the history of Japan.  Then, during the second half of class, you'll complete the unit 5 reading quiz.  Finally, after you've finished the quiz, you'll read and write a reflection on "Reviving Shinto" (Christian Science Monitor, 10/5/2015).

Homework:
  • TODAY - Unit 5 reading quiz (27.1, 27.3, 28.2, 29.1, & 29.2 - two-sided, hand-written index card may be used)
  • Tuesday, November 17 - Unit 5 Test
