HWC Day 43 - Considering Select Historical Developments in China

Quarter 1 grades are finalized.  Please review and speak to Mrs. Friday ASAP if you have any questions.

Objective: Identify central tenets of the religions and philosophies that have influenced East Asia.  Investigate the geo-political and cultural significance of select events in Chinese history.

Task:  Ni hao!  When you arrive to class, please open up and complete "Threefold Duties of a Chinese Ruler."  We'll use this document to review the Mandate of Heaven and continue our notes on the religious and philosophical traditions of East Asia.  Then, we'll spend the remainder of class collaboratively completing a VoiceThread on select historical events in Chinese history.  Each of you will research the historical context of one event and identify the significance of another event.
