CPWC Day 8 - Perpetuating, Changing, and Spreading Culture

Objective:   Explore the ways in which culture is perpetuated, changed, and spread.

Task:  Happy Friday!  When you arrive to class, please use your I-Pad to take a picture of the red box below.

Use the study hints above to prepare for Monday's quiz.

After I've explained the format for the quiz on Monday, we'll take a few minutes to demonstrate how to upload your Elements of Culture projects to Schoology.  Then, we'll finish our notes on the culture and find examples of ethnocentrism, diffusion, enculturation, and acculturation.  Finally, we'll watch and analyze the video below.

Homework:

• TODAY - Narrative, drawing, or captioned photograph detailing 7 elements of culture submitted to Schoology dropbox by 3:00 pm
• Monday, September 14 - Download UN Country Stats & TapQuiz Maps apps to i-Pad BEFORE class on Monday
• Monday,  September 14 - Unit 1 Quiz (Themes of Geography, Characteristics of Culture, Elements of Culture, Cultural Regions Map)
• Thursday, September 17 - Unit 1 Test (Study Guide will be posted to Schoology on or before class on Monday, September 14)
