HWC Day 58 - Geography & Religion in South Asia

REMINDER:  NHS food drive for the New Jerusalem Food Bank runs until December 20. Please consider donating to this worthy cause.

Objective:  Identify and label countries, cities, bodies of water, and major geographic features of South Asia.  Examine the religious and philosophical traditions that have shaped the cultures of South Asia.

Task:  Today, you'll be working in groups or as individuals on three separate tasks.  Any work not completed in class must be completed at home.
  1. If you need to work on your FCP video, today is the last day for working on the project in class.  Tomorrow, I'll be leading you through the process for finalizing your video submission on the Master List.  
  2. You'll use the "South Asia Geography Workshop" movie on the Moodle to complete the geography worksheet packet.
  3. View and take notes on the "South Asia Religions Video Clips" on the Moodle.

Homework:
  • Wednesday, November 20 - Final Video due on FCP Ning
  • Thursday, November 21 - South Asia map due in class
  • Friday, November 22 - "Breaking Free" reading quiz
  • Tuesday, November 26 - Last day to upload FCP video to Ning
  • Tuesday, November 26 - Chronology & connections due 
  • Tuesday, December 3 - "Sacred Cow" reading assignment due
  • Wednesday, December 4 - South Asia Regional study due in class
  • Thursday, December 5 - "Countdown" reading due in class
  • Friday, December 6 - Kundun & Silk Road extra credit due
  • Monday, December 9 - Unit 6 Test
