HWC Day 53 - Meiji Discussion

UNICEF members will be collecting donations for typhoon Haiyan relief efforts during all lunches this week.

Objective:  Assess the causes and consequences of Japan's expansion in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

Task:  At the beginning of class, we'll finish our discussion of the Japan timeline.  Next, we'll form circles for our Meiji fishbowl discussion.  We'll also examine the "Rescript on Education" as a primary document of the Meiji Restoration.  Then, you'll use the remainder of class to work on your FCP videos.
