CPWC Day 49 - History of China (Part III)

What do you know about China?  Try to defeat the dragon at The China Game.

Objective:  Examine indigenous and diffused religions and philosophies of East Asia.

Task:  As you come into class, please turn in your Mao reading. Pick up the Venn diagram and use your notes to complete the diagram.  After a brief discussion, you'll get out the computers and we'll finish the China history notes.  You'll work in small groups to create 5 multiple choice questions, 5 fill-in the blank questions, and 2 short answer questions via a GoogleDoc.  Finally, we'll begin the case study on communism in China (on the Moodle).

  • TODAY - "Mao: Liberator or Oppressor?" reading discussion
  • Thursday, November 7 - East Asia reading quiz (Chapter 27, sections 1 & 3, and Chapter 29)
  • Tuesday, November 13 - China & Japan Respond to the West (Reading and PowerPoint on Moodle)
  • Thursday, November 14 - "Top 10 Things to Know About Korea"
  • Monday, November 18 - Unit 5 Test (includes East Asia map)
