Objectives: Analyze themes of interaction, interdependence, and diffusion along the Silk Road. Examine the ideas and influence of indigenous & diffused religions in East Asia.
Task: After you've recorded the daily objective, please get out your storyboards and bring them to the front of the room. To start class, we'll listen to the Chen interview and respond to the questions on the Moodle. Then, we'll continue our studies on East Asia with an examination of the Silk Road. We'll watch a brief musical slide show to get a feel for the sounds and sights of the Silk Road (see below). Then, you'll complete a directed research activity on the Silk Road. After you've completed the activity and I've returned your storyboards, we'll begin our notes on the religions and philosophies of East Asia.
