HWC Day 46 - Examining Women in China

Objective:  Examine select primary sources to identify change and continuity for women in China from the 19th century to the present

Task:  After you've recorded the daily objective, please prepare for the day's activities by getting out some blank paper and a computer.   You'll use this paper to take notes as you complete the activities in "Women's Roles in China."  Once your logged onto the computer, please check your email and log in to the Moodle.  This lesson is located in unit 5 on the Moodle and includes a background essay, a scavenger hunt through the house of a 19th century merchant, propaganda posters from the 1960s & 1970s, and an audio interview of a factory worker in the 21st century.  For each of these components, you will complete the activity described and then answer the reflection questions.  Next, you'll read an article on footbinding and answer the accompanying questions.
