CPWC Day 43 - Mid-Term Exam

IMPORTANT:  Please check your grades in PowerSchool.  All missing work must be completed BEFORE TOMORROW.  If the work is not completed, you will receive a zero for that quiz, test, or assignment.  

Objective:  Assess knowledge and understanding of quarter one essential content.

Task:  When you arrive to class, please clear your desk and get out a pencil in preparation for the mid-term exam.  I'll distribute and explain the exam.  You'll have the duration of the class to complete the assessment.  If you finish early, please begin your reading notes for the next unit.

Homework:
  • TODAY- Mid-Term Exam
  • TODAY- Bring textbook to class
  • Wednesday, October 29 - Quarter 1 Extra Credit due by 3:00 (see below)
  • Friday, October 31 - Chapter 27, Section 1 reading notes due in class 
  • Monday, November 3 - Chapter 27, Section 3 reading notes due in class 
  • Tuesday, November 4 - Chapter 28, Section 2 reading notes due in class 
  • Wednesday, November 5 - Chapter 29, Section 1 reading notes due in class 
  • Thursday, November 6 - Chapter 29, Section 2 reading notes due in class 
  • Monday, November 10 - Unit 4 reading quiz (27.1, 27.3, 28.2, 29.1, & 29.2 - reading notes may be used)
  • Friday, November 14 - Unit 5 Test
CPWC Current Events - Extra Credit Opportunity (due by 3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 29)
Use one or more of the news sources below to find recent news articles relating to topics we've studied in quarter 1.  Create citations and annotations in NoodleTools.  The annotation MUST include a summary AND an explanation of how the article relates to our studies.  Share your work with the "CPWC Quarter 1 Extra Credit" dropbox.
Each citation/annotation is worth up to 5 points and you may complete up to 3 per unit (Foundations, Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East, Europe).
