Objective: Describe the significance of select historical events in Southwest Asia and North Africa. Investigate the importance of natural resources in the Middle East.
Task: Please get out your notes and a pen or pencil in preparation for the lecture. We'll finish our notes on nationalism in Southwest Asia. Then, you'll complete a worksheet on the Aral Sea and we'll consider environmental issues in Central Asia. Finally, we'll look at Islamic fundamentalism and the role of women in Islam.
