HWC Day 61 - Short History of South Asia

Objective:  Evaluate the historical developments of South Asia.

Task:  Welcome back!  I hope you all had a restful break.  As you come into class, please get out your computer.  You'll get out the "Chronology & Connections" packet and use the databases to define the concepts on page 2.  After we review the terms, we'll consider the historiography of the British in India.  Finally, we'll spend the last portion of class examining the caste system in contemporary India with part D of the regional study.
