CPWC Day 36 - Renaissance

IMPORTANT:  Beginning THIS WEEK, high school students are not permitted to ride the elementary school busses home.  Busses will be available at 4:00 for those students who need to stay for period 12.

Objective: Define "Europe" as a cultural region.  Examine the birth of the Renaissance in Florence.

Pd. 3-4 Task: Good morning!   When you arrive to class, please open up "Why Renaissance? Why Florence?"  We'll spend the first few minutes of class reviewing your reading before delving into the different periods of Renaissance art.  Specifically, after a brief lecture, you'll work in small groups to analyze select paintings of the period.  Finally, we'll end class with presentations of your work.

Pd. 6-9 Task:  Good afternoon!  When you arrive to class, please upload your homework to the appropriate Schoology dropbox.  Then, we'll review "Heritage of Europe" and continue defining Europe.  Next, you'll begin our exploration of the Renaissance with a reading activity "Why Renaissance? Why Florence?"
