CPWC Day 3 - Mapping Our World

Objective:  Consider the concepts addressed in chapter 1, section 1 of the text.  Identify and label oceans, continents, and cultural regions on a world map.

Task: When you arrive to class, please complete the "Show What You Know" pre-test.  While you're taking the pre-test, I'll come around and check your reading notes.   When you finish, please work on your chapter 1, section 2 reading notes.  After the pre-test, we'll complete the "Lines of Latitude & Longitude" worksheet together in class.  Then, we'll spend the remainder of class labeling and coloring the major cultural regions on a world map.  Finally, we'll spend the last portion of class discussing "Dreaming Upside Down."

• TODAY- Parent Information (GoogleForm via Schoology) and email to Mrs. Friday due by 11:59 pm
• TODAY - Geography chapter 1, section 1 reading notes due in class
• Tuesday, February 2 - Geography chapter 1, section 2 reading notes due in class
• Thursday, February 4 - Unit 1 Quiz (Themes of Geography, Characteristics of Culture, Elements of Culture, Cultural Regions Map)
• Monday, February 8 - Unit 1 Test
