WHAP Day 4 - Early Human Migrations

Day 4 - PAW 4

KC1.1.I.  Archaeological evidence indicates that during the Paleolithic era, hunter-forager bands of humans gradually migrated from their origin in East Africa to Eurasia, Australia, and the Americas, adapting their technology and cultures to new climates.

  • ENV2 - Explain how environmental factors, disease, and technology affected patterns of human migration and settlement over time.

Objective:  Explain how humans adapted to and affected their environment as they migrated during the Paleolithic era.

Task:  Greetings!  Today, we'll spend the first few minutes of class examining the AP History Reasoning Skills.  Then, you'll continue to work on thesis development with an examination of early human migration patterns.  Finally, if there is any time remaining in class, we'll discuss "Worst Mistake."
