HWC Day 1 - Welcome!

Day 1 - PAW 1

"Knowledge is a treasure, but practice is a key to it."  Lao Tzu

In Honors World Cultures we'll explore the history, geography, and contemporary issues that shape our world.  I encourage you to seek connections between our studies, your other courses, and the news.  In order to succeed in HWC, it is essential to establish effective, consistent work and study habits.  If, at any time, you find yourself confused or overwhelmed, please don't hesitate to speak with me.

Objectives:  Introduce class procedures and expectations.  Assess knowledge of current global issues.

Task:  Good morning!  When you arrive to class, please submit your either work either on the front table or, if you have digital copies, to the dropboxes in Schoology.    After all the work you've already completed, its exciting to finally begin our journey together.  I'll begin with a brief introduction to the course and then you'll take the current events quiz.  When you've finished the quiz, please answer the "Getting to Know Me" questions in the "General Information" folder.
