Objective: Discuss the emergence of nationalism and extremism in the Middle East. Describe the controversy over veiling. Evaluate the problems facing the Middle East.
Task: We have a lot to accomplish this morning! First, we'll finish our notes on the Middle East with a discussion on nationalism. Then, we'll review your work on contemporary issues in the Middle East and veiling in Islam. Finally, we'll spend the remainder of class reviewing for your test.
