Objective: Analyze the significance of select events in Chinese history. Evaluate the ideology and implementation of communism in China.
Task: Ni hao! Today, we're going to focus on the cultural and political developments in China over the past 100 years. You've already read about the impact of Mao - now we're going to delve more deeply into his leadership. Go to the Moodle to complete "Case Study: Communism in China" - this is a NOT a collaborative activity! If you are stuck on a question, you may DISCUSS with your classmates but all answers must be in your own words! After you've completed the Case Study, please go to the class blog and comment to the "Communism in China Reflection" post. If there is any time remaining in class, please prepare for the Boxer Rebellion discussion OR work on your Japan timeline.
