West Civ Day 5 - Ancient Greece (cont.)

Objectives:  Identify the contributions of Rome to Western Civilization.  Analyze the impact of ancient Greece in the development of Europe.

Task:  Good morning!  To begin, we'll work together to analyze "The Funeral Oration of Pericles" and compare it to excerpts from President Bush's speech to Congress days after the September 11 attacks. Then, we'll finish our notes on Ancient Greece.  Finally, for the remainder of class, you'll have the opportunity to work on and/or ask questions about your first PDP/PDC OR use the British Museum to investigate various aspects of ancient Greece.
