HWC Day 1 - Welcome!

DAY 1 - PAW 1

In Honors World Cultures we'll explore the history, geography, and contemporary issues that shape our world.  I encourage you to seek connections between our studies, your other courses, and the news.  In order to succeed in HWC it is essential to establish effective, consistent work and study habits.  If, at any time, you find yourself confused or overwhelmed, please don't hesitate to speak with me.

Objective:  Introduce class procedures and expectations.  Assess knowledge of current global issues.

Task:  Good morning!  When you arrive to class, please submit your work either on the front table or, if you have digital copies, to the drop boxes in Schoology.  We'll begin our time together with a brief introduction to the course and then you'll take the current events quiz.  When you've finished the qui, please answer the "Getting to Know Me" questions in the "General Information" folder.
