Objectives:  Identify geographic, cultural, and historical trends in the development of Southeast Asia.

Task:  Good morning!  When you arrive to class, please grab a whiteboard and marker .  On the whiteboard, please respond to the following prompt:

Describe the physical and cultural character of Southeast Asia.

We'll discuss your responses before moving into notes on the history of colonialism and imperialism in Southeast Asia.

Homework Due Dates:

• TODAY - Complete "Cultural & Geographic Diversity of Southeast Asia" BEFORE class (You will need to use your textbook!)
• TODAY - "HWC A Taste of Adventure" Close Reading due (submit to Schoology)
• Friday, December 22 - "Considering Southeast Asia" due in class (You will be working on this in class on Wednesday, December 20)
