WHAP Day 24 - Monumental Architecture

Day 6 - PAW 6

KC2.1.I.  Codifications and further developments of existing religious traditions provided a bond among people.
  • CUL2 - Explain how religions, belief systems, philosophies, and ideologies affected political, economic, and social developments over time.

  • CUL5 -Explain how the arts are shaped by and reflect innovation, adaptation, and creativity of specific societies over time.
Objectives:  Examine monumental architecture to explain the explain the impact of religious and philosophical ideas on the Classical period. .

Task:  Good morning! When you arrive to class, please open up your "KC2.1 - Religious Sites & Monumental Architecture" charts.  We'll spend the first portion of class reviewing the charts.  Then, we'll use gummy bears to illustrate the different types of governments in ancient Greece.

Homework Due Dates:
  • ASAP - "Migration of Anatomically Modern Humans Response" corrections (see comments for current 'grade')
