Task: Good morning! When you come into class, please get out your bingo sheet from yesterday. We'll spend the first few minutes discussing how this activity relates to our studies. Then, you'll get out your computer and log onto your school provided email account. I'll distribute your user ID and password for the online textbook. We'll spend a few minutes exploring the tools in this on-line source.
Next, you'll log onto the Moodle in order to take the CPWC pre-test. This is NOT a graded assignment BUT it will provide valuable information that I'll use to plan course activities.
After you've completed the pre-test, please quietly return your computer and pick up "Dreaming Upside Down." While you're waiting for your classmates to finish the pretest, please read this article. After all computers have been returned, we'll spend a few minutes reviewing reading strategies.
Finally, for the last portion of class, we'll begin labeling cultural regions on a world map.
