HWC Day 4 - Organization, Globalization, & Collaboration

Objectives:  Create and organize a notebook to be utilized in HWC.  Define history and the social sciences as they will be utilized in HWC.  Collaborate in a Web2.0 environment to create an informative presentation.

Task:  To start class, we're going to create your HWC notebooks.  You'll utilize a table of contents and dividers to create an organizational foundation for HWC.  Next, we'll spend some time discussing critical thinking.  Then, we'll compare and contrast collaboration, cooperation, and copying.

Finally, you'll join your Primer group to begin collaboration on your storyboard and script.  As you work, please keep the following points in mind:

1. Although you will all have access to the SlideRocket presentation, only one person can edit at a time.
2. The purpose of the presentation is to help your classmates understand the main ideas of your assigned section.
3. The presentation must be at least 3 minutes and no more than 4 minutes in length.
4. Be sure that you double check the rubric for grading criteria.

• Tuesday, September 3 - Primer storyboard & script due BEFORE class
• Thursday, September 5 - Globalization & Diversity chapter 1 reading quiz (reading notes may be used on quiz)
• Friday, September 6 - Primer presentations due at BEGINNING of class
