Day 6 - Paw 6

Objective:  Define and explain the elements of culture.  Utilize note-taking skills while viewing a clip on culture.

Task:   Welcome back!  When you arrive to class, please download "CPWC Unit 1 Guided Notes B" and add them to "Guided Notes A" from Friday.  We'll spend the first portion of class discussing the elements of culture.  During this discussion, we'll also review your readings on language.  Finally, for the last portion of class, you'll watch and take notes on "Man & His Culture" (see below & on Schoology).

Homework Due Dates:  

• TODAY - Read "What Difference Does Language Make?" or "Where People Don't Like to Say No" BEFORE class begins
• TODAY - Bring earbuds or headphones to class
• Wednesday, September 6 - Finish watching & taking notes on "Man & His Culture" BEFORE class
• Thursday, September 7 - Read "100% American" BEFORE class begins
• Friday, September 8 - Quiz on Geography & Culture (study guide in Schoology no later than Thursday, August 31)
• Monday, September 11 - Watch "History of the World in 18 Minutes" & be ready to discuss at the beginning of class
