HWC Day 38 - Contemporary Issues in Europe

Objectives:  Define the European Union.  Examine discrimination against the Roma and the conflict in Ukraine.

Task:  Kalispera!  As you arrive to class, please get out your notes on the Declaration on the Rights of Man and Citizen, the Congress of Vienna, and the Industrial Revolution.  We'll spend the first portion of class reviewing this information from yesterday.  Then, we'll get out the computers to complete a brief directed research activity on the European Union and the Roma people.  Finally, if there is any time remaining, we'll explore the conflict in Ukraine.
