Soc Day 31 - Ageism

Objective:  Consider age as a social construct and examine age-based discrimination.

Task:  Please get a computer as you arrive to class.  Log onto the Moodle and complete "Facts on Aging."  After a brief discussion, we'll finish our unit 2 notes with a lecture on ageism.  Finally, we'll spend the last portion of class investigating and comparing media portrayals of the elderly and adolescents.
