Task: When you arrive to class, please get out your "Perspectives" charts, part IV of the Regional Study, and a blank piece of paper. You'll have the first 15 minutes of class to answer the following question:
- What did you learn about history and history textbooks from this activity?
- What did you learn about the history of the Middle East?
Next, we'll listen to an audio clip about the Sunni-Shia divide before playing a game of Kahoot to review monotheism.
Finally, we'll finish our examination of the Ottoman empire with a discussion of the "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)" lyrics and analysis of political cartoons.
Homework:
