HWC Day 60 - Partition, Civil War in Sri Lanka, & Caste in Contemporary India

Objectives:   Evaluate the consequences of partition.  Discuss the civil war in Sri Lanka.  Investigate Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and caste in contemporary India.

Task:  Good morning!  When you arrive to class, please go to the YouTube channel "1947 Partition Archive" and watch some testimonies from individuals who experienced apartheid.  Then open up "Partition - Document Analysis & Graphic Organizers."  We'll spend the first portion of class reviewing your work on Partition.  Then, we'll discuss the civil war in Sri Lanka.  Finally, if there is time remaining, we'll research caste in contemporary India.
