Task: I commend you for taking on this reading and writing intensive course! Although it may feel like you've been preparing for HWC for a long time, it is finally our first official day of class. Today, we need to read through the class rules and regulations and join the Moodle (http://moodle.svpanthers.org/). You will also be filling out the on-line "Student Information Sheet" and taking a current events quiz. Finally, you'll be handing in your reading notes and rubric for The World is Flat.

- Student Information Sheet (GoogleForm on Moodle)
- Parent Information Sheet (due Wednesday - bonus points for early submission AND on-line submission)
- Review advice & reflections from previous HWC students
- Bring reading notes/questions from Guns, Germs, and Steel for "Book Club"
