CPWC Day 44 - Mid-Term Exam


EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY:  You can earn extra credit for attending and participating the "Great Decisions" discussion series.  Please see the email I sent last week for details.  If you would like to come to any of the discussions, please let me know so that I can add you to the Schoology group.

Objective:  Assess knowledge and understanding of quarter one essential content.

Task:  When you arrive to class, please get out a pencil in preparation for your mid-term exam.  I'll distribute and explain your exam.  You'll have the duration of class to complete the assessment.  If you finish early, please begin your unit 5 homework.

  • TODAY - Mid-Term Exam
  • Thursday, April 7 - Chapter 27, section 1 reading notes due in class
  • Friday, April 8 - Chapter 27, section 3 reading notes due in class
  • Friday, April 8 - Current Events extra credit due in NoodleTools by 3:00 pm (see below)
  • Thursday, April 7 - GDDS "International Migration"
  • Monday, April 11 - East Asia map due in Schoology dropbox by 4:00 pm
  • Tuesday, April 12 - Chapter 28, section 2 reading notes due in class
  • Wednesday, April 13 - Chapter 29, section 1 reading notes due in class
  • Wednesday, April 13 - GDDS "Korean Choices"
  • Thursday, April 14 - Chapter 29, section 2 reading notes due in class
  • Friday, April 15 - Unit 5 reading quiz (27.1, 27.3, 28.2, 29.1, & 29.2 - two-sided, hand-written index card may be used)
  • Tuesday, April 19 - Unit 5 Test
  • Thursday, April 21 - GDDS "The UNs Post 2015 Development Agenda and Leadership"

CPWC Current Events - Extra Credit Opportunity (due in NoodleTools by 3:00 pm on Friday, April 8)  NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED!!!
Use one or more of the news sources below to find recent news articles relating to topics we've studied in quarter 3.  Create citations and annotations in NoodleTools.  The annotation MUST include a summary AND an explanation of how the article relates to our studies.  Share your work with the "CPWC Quarter 3 Extra Credit" dropbox.

Each citation/annotation is worth up to 5 points and you may complete up to 3 per unit (Foundations, Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East, Europe).
