CPWC Day 61 - History of South Asia

EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY:  You can earn extra credit for attending and participating the "Great Decisions" discussion series.  Please see the email I sent last week for details.  If you would like to come to any of the discussions, please let me know so that I can add you to the Schoology group.

Objective:   Identify trends in the historical development of South Asia.  Examine the unique culture of South Asia.

Task:  Namaste!  When you arrive to class please get out pencil and your index card in preparation for the reading quiz.  After you finish the reading quiz, please open up your South Asia timeline.  We'll finish up our review of select events in the history of South Asia.  Finally, we'll examine the influence of Mohandas Gandhi.

Homework:
  • Friday, April 29 - Unit 6 reading quiz

  2. Humanitarian motives are based on kindness and concern for others. What humanitarian motives came to influence the British government in its attitude to India?
