Objective: Explore select historical developments in sub-Saharan Africa. Consider select nationalist movements in sub-Saharan Africa. Evaluate the forces that led to the collapse of apartheid in South Africa.
Task: Good morning! When you arrive to class, please clear your desks of everything. We'll spend the first few minutes of class reviewing your unit 1 test. Then, we'll spend a moment reviewing nationalism in Sub-Saharan Africa. Then, we'll open up your notes on apartheid South Africa so we can review your notes. Finally, we'll spend the last portion of class looking at non-violent resistance to apartheid in South Africa.
