HWC Day 74 - Indigenous Peoples & Colonization of Latin America

Objectives:   Consider the unique cultures of pre-Columbian peoples in Central America.  Review the geography of Latin America.  Compare and contrast the descriptions of Aztec and Spanish accounts of Cortez.

Task:  Good morning!  We'll begin class with a discussion on the indigenous peoples of Central America - the Olmecs, Mayas, & Aztecs.  Then, we'll play a game to review the geography of Latin America.  Finally, we'll explore the colonization of Latin America.  If there is any time remaining, we'll discuss slavery in Latin America.
