Objective: Identify central tenets of the religions and philosophies that have influenced East Asia. Investigate the historic and cultural significance of the Silk Road.
Task: Good morning! I hope you all had a nice, relaxing day off yesterday. Before we begin our exploration of East Asia, we need to take care of a couple book-keeping details. First, you'll "draft" your primary documents for quarter 2 and I'll explain how to prepare for the fishbowl discussions (see group assignments below & on Schoology). Then, we'll begin notes on the religions and philosophies that shaped East Asia. Finally, you'll spend the last portion of class investigating the Silk Road.
