HWC Day 7 - Culture & the Social Sciences (cont.)

Objectives:  Establish a basis for studying culture by defining the characteristics and seven elements of culture.  Define history and the social sciences as they will be utilized in HWC.

Task:   As you arrive to class, please get out your Primer notes and, if you have not presented yet, your rubric.  We'll dedicate the first portion of class to the remaining presentations.  Then, we'll spend a short time discussing "Man & His Culture."  Finally, we'll continue our notes on periodization.
  
Homework:

• TODAY - Watch and evaluate "Man & His Culture" (below) BEFORE class
• Friday, February 6 - Globalization & Diversity chapter 1 reading quiz (reading notes may be used)
• Monday, February 9 -  Primer vocabulary quiz
• Wednesday, February 11 - Unit 1 Test (study guide will be posted on the Moodle on or before Thursday, February 5)
