WHAP Day 130 - WWI Wrap-Up & Turkey

Day 3 - PAW 3

Objectives: Evaluate the global impact of World War I. Examine the collapse of the Ottoman Empire and the emergence of the Republic of Turkey.

Task: Good morning! When you arrive to class, please grab a white board, a marker, and a partner. List the impacts of World War I - be sure to identify impacts from ALL of the SPICE categories! After a brief discussion, you'll complete the SBMC practice on WWI. Finally, you'll spend the remainder of class taking notes on the fall of the Ottoman empire and the emergence of the Republic of Turkey (folder 6.2.1).

Objective: Analyze the changes brought about by the Protestant Reformation. Define the contributions of the Scientific Revolution and the impact of the Columbian Exchange.

Task: Good morning! When you arrive to class, please form the desks into a circle and open up your Protestant Reformation packet. We'll finish up our examination of the Protestant Reformation before delving into the Scientific Revolution. Finally, we'll end with a writing activity on the Columbian Exchange.

Task: Good afternoon! When you arrive to class, please clear your desks of everything except a pen or pencil in preparation for the quiz. You'll have 40 minutes to complete your quiz. If you finish early, please work on "Scientific Revolution & Columbian Exchange" (parts C & E) and then "Absolute Monarchs in Europe."
