HWC Day 61 - History of South Asia

Purpose:   Describe the significance of select events in the history of South Asia.

Task: Good morning!  When you arrive to class, please open up your notes on the history of South Asia and use the videos & links  below to continue your notes on the history of South Asia.  Then, after you've watched and answered questions on the British East India Company (below), complete "Historiography - Legacy of British Rule in India."  Finally, if there is any time remaining, work on your research outline or your South Asia homework.

  • Humanitarian motives are based on kindness and concern for others. What humanitarian motives came to influence the British government in its attitude to India?
