HWC Day 38 - Changes in the Modern Period

Purpose:   Investigate the cultural, social, political, and economic status of Europe during the modern era.  

Task:  Bonjour!   When you arrive to class, please get out your notes on the "New Spirit of the Renaissance."  We'll spend the first few minutes of class reviewing the Renaissance.  Then, we'll practice the geography of Europe with a jigsaw.  Next, you'll watch an excerpt from "Money & Power" to investigate changes to the economy during the early Modern period.  Finally, we'll finish class with a short discussion on  "Meanwhile in Europe" focusing specifically on the Scientific Revolution & the Columbian Exchange.
